Karl Jessup

Karl Donald Jessup, affectional known as "Grandpa Howie", 78, of Odessa, TX entered fully into the presence of his Lord and Savior Wednesday, May 17, 2017. Karl was a loving father and wonderful man, and he was loved by everyone he knew.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 22, 2017 in the Chapel at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Wally Schiwart of New Dawn Fellowship officiating. Graveside services will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Karl was born in Freeport, Illinois to William and Marion Jessup on August 14, 1938. He was a graduate of Odessa High School Class of 1957. Most of his later career he was self-employed as a perform torch and regulator repairs for various companies and individuals. He was a well-respected and honest man, and he made many long lasting relationship with all the people he met along the way. He was one of the most giving people you would ever met, and he never asked for anything in return. He was loved by all that had the pleasure to know him.

Karl is preceded in death by his father, William Alvin Jessup, Jr., his mother, Marian Margurite Jessup of Odessa, and one of his best friends, Ed Greenlee of Odessa

Karl is survived by his son, William Brian Jessup and his wife Anna Jessup of Round Rock and their children Sophia, Nicholas, Gianna and Lucia; his daughter, Deborah Ann Jessup of Jarrell; brother, Richard Jessup and his wife Betty Jessup of the Houston area; his sister, Carol Jessup of Arlington; and his best friend Delores Veteto of Odessa.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to New Dawn Fellowship (www.newdawnfellowship.com) of which Karl was a member.
