Mary Kathleen Ashing, age 85, of Weatherford, TX, passed from this life to her Heavenly Home, January 9, 2018.
Kathleen was born in Honey Grove, TX, on August 24, 1932, to H.T. (Tracy) and Eva Tyler. She grew up and attended school in Pecos, TX, where she met and married Jim Ashing, January 25, 1953, and were united in marriage for 59 years, and are now re-united forever in Heaven. They lived all over the Permian Basin, but spent their golden years in Odessa. She was a faithful and loving wife, mother, grand/great grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved unconditionally and was a care-giver to all. She loved the Lord and enjoyed her ladies' Bible Study Group. She was a prayer warrior and believed in God's promises and faithfulness. Though her memory and mind faded over the last several years, she continued to hold on to and say, "God specializes in things thought impossible and He can do what no other power can do." She was happiest when at home, enjoying their beautiful yard/roses, feeding the birds and taking care of grand and great grandchildren. She will be missed, but we rejoice in her freedom and find comfort that we will see her again someday.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jim Ashing; (4) Brothers, H.T. Tyler Jr., Homer Tyler, George Tyler, and James Tyler. (2) Sisters, Dorothy (Tyler) Musick and Annie (Tyler) Smith.
She is survived by her son, Wayne and wife Rhonda Ashing of Weatherford, TX. and daughter, Jan and husband Jim Ash of The Woodlands,TX.
