Kathryn Eloise Doyle Johnston, 97, of Odessa, Texas passed away on August 25, 2012 at Home Hospice after a brief illness.
Graveside services will be held at 10AM, Wednesday August, 29 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jimmy Braswell, of St. Andrew Cumberland Presbyterian Church, officiating.
Kathryn was born in Ellensburg, Washington to Richard Granville and Willie Mae Harris Doyle on March 19, 1915.
She graduated from Spring Hill High School in Pharoah, Oklahoma in 1932. She continued on to become a Licensed Vocational Nurse and worked at Medical Center Hospital for many years.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Oklahoma Mary Merry, her sons: Charles Richard Dick Johnston and George Travis Johnston her niece, Suzanne Dixon and her greatgrandson, Zane Hamilton.
She is survived by her daughters: Mignon Johnston and Beth Johnston, both of Odessa, Dianne Hammons and husband, Burl, of Temple, Texas her grandchildren: Genevieve Johnston Smith and husband, Chad, and their son, Ewan, of Fort Mill, SC Shane Johnston and wife, Connie, of Crowley, Texas Lisa Hamilton and husband, Gary, and their son, Stetson, of Cleburne Ward Hammons and wife, Bridgette, and their children, Benjamin and Daniel, of Spring, Texas Cindy Campbell and husband, Jason, and stepson, Devon, of Killeen, Texas and Autumn Johnston of Cleburne, Texas greatgrandchildren: Lastin Johnston and wife, Casey, of Greenwood, Texas Bliss Goodloe and husband, Steven, and their sons, Nathaniel and Emmett, of Fort Worth, Texas stepgreatgrandson: Stephen Roberts of Greenwood, Texas and her constant companion, Buddy, her Shih Tzu.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Home Hospice. The family would like to thank the ER staff and physician, Dr. Abrams, her ICU nurses: Robyn Haddock and Candol Wright and her cardiologist, Dr. Sudhir Amaram.
