Oh, I have slipped the surly bonds of earth put out my hand, and touched the face of God. John Gillespie Magee, Jr.
Kaysie Guynn was born in Odessa on August 28th, 1983. She passed from this life on Friday, July 20th, 2012. She is now free of that beautiful but flawed vessel that encumbered and tormented her so deeply during the brief time she was chained to this earth.
Kaysie was a beautiful daughter, devoted mother, loving sister, and loyal friend with a spirit of courage, strength, honor, humor, and love. Her passion was her young son, who meant everything to her.
Kaysie graduated with the Permian High School class of 2001 and was a nursing student at Odessa College. She worshiped at the Eisenhower Church of Christ. Kaysie enjoyed traveling, hiking, fishing, and baking the most amazing cupcakes.
Kaysie is survived by parents Kim and Douglas Guynn, son Ethan Guynn, brother Chris Guynn and his wife Janeen and niece Aeryn, brother Kody Guynn, grandmothers Rachel Guynn and Meta Troutz, and a large extended family with whom she was very close and loved with all her heart.
There will be a celebration of her life on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 3:00 PM at the Church of Christ at 21st and Eisenhower. All who knew her, and those who wish they had, are welcome to be a part of this remembrance.
Not everyone that sayeth unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven, but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 7:21 23
