Keith Kirkland

Keith Jonathan Kirkland went to be with the Lord on June 8, 2023, in Odessa, Texas.

Visitation will be at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Graveside services will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at 10:00 am.

Keith Kirkland was born in Texas City, Texas, to Jesse Paul and Juanita Kirkland on April 29,1956. He graduated from Trevor Browne High School in Phoenix, Arizona, and continued his education at California State University, LA where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1981. He married the love of his life Beverley, on May 27, 1983. He was President and owner of K&B Truck Sales since 1985. He dreamed big and worked hard. Keith never met a stranger and would strike up a conversation with anyone. He could talk to a wall and make it talk back. He was always on the move. Whether it was taking his morning walk, golfing in the heat of the day, or chasing his precious granddaughter Harper, he never stopped moving. Keith loved to travel and see the world. Family trips were the best with Keith. Keith’s motto in life was to “walk soft and carry a big stick” and always remember God, Family, and Country. Keith’s love for his family was so deep and he would tell each one of his kids and wife daily, “I love you more than air.”

Keith is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Paul and Juanita Kirkland; and brothers, Jesse Paul Kirkland II and Kenneth Kirkland.

Keith is survived by his wife, Beverley; daughters, Chelsea Kirkland, Tiffany Wimberley- son in law, Chris Wimberley; granddaughter, Harper Wimberley; brothers, Kelly Kirkland (Robin), Kevin Kirkland (Rachelle); sister, Paula Lovato (Michael); and numerous nieces, nephews, and precious friends that are like family.

The family would like to thank all their loving friends and family members who have been walking with them through this difficult time.
