Kelly Charles McGuire, passed peacefully after a short battle with cancer at the age of 65 surrounded by his loving family and friends. Kelly was born in Enid, OK on August 30, 1952 and was raised in Garber, OK. Kelly was a proud Alum of the University of Oklahoma, class of 1975, with a degree in Political Science.
Kelly was a district manager for Zales Jewelry for 15 years followed by his career in insurance and financial advising with West Texas Insurance Exchange for the last 22 years of his life.
He taught youth Sunday school at St. Luke's United Methodist Church, involved in the Emmaus community, and enjoyed coaching and playing for the SLUMC men's softball team. Kelly was the Sargent of Arms for Odessa Rotary Club with accolades for being "Rotarian of the Year" in 2017. He loved and enjoyed spending time with his fellow Rotarians. He actively served the community including tutoring and golf lessons for disadvantaged children, raising funds for the Salvation Army and Boys and Girls Club, and posting flags on national holidays.
Kelly coached his daughters in softball throughout their childhood, and would go on to coach their West Texas Champion team. He was a proud "dance dad" for the OHS Showgirls, often providing dinner for the dance team before Friday night football games. His joy was rooted in raising his children and spending time watching his grandson Bryson play sports, excel in school, and praise God. He was a loved and proud father who will be remembered for his stability, integrity, and sense of humor.
His other loves were yardwork, playing golf, watching the New York Yankees, and attending and watching all OU sporting events.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Ada Sue Good, and father, Charles William McGuire.
Kelly is survived by his wife of 31 years, Polly McGuire; son, Matthew McGuire son of Donna McFarland, his wife Kortny & their son Bryson of Piedmont, OK; daughters, Mallory Stewart and husband Jake of Norman, OK., Hillary McGuire of Dallas, TX., Molly McGuire of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and newest member of the family Gus the Goldendoodle; sisters, Linda Kuehnl and husband , Charles of Oklahoma City, OK., Sally Rousey and husband , Brent of Enid, OK., Niece, Kaley and Nephews, Mac, Charlie and Chase and four great nieces and nephews. Also, survived by numerous in-laws, who all loved their Uncle Greasy.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm, Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
A Celebration of life will be held on March 15, 2018 at 2:00 pm at The Bridge Church (3901 E. Yukon).
