Kenneth Boen

Kenneth Ray Boen, age 81, of Odessa, TX, passed away on October 10, 2022, in Big Springs, TX.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM, Thursday, October 13, 2022, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Graveside Services will be at 4:00 PM, Friday, October 14, 2022, at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Ken was born February 4, 1941, to Irvin and Marie Boen in Rotan, TX. He enlisted into the United States Army in 1963 to 1965 and was on reserve duty for the next 4 years. He was an E-5 Sergeant. He married Caron on July 1, 1966, while on reserve duty. Upon returning from duty, he started working in the oil field, which brought him to Odessa, TX. He worked for several different pipe yards until becoming a truck driver for Posey Pipe, then became owner/operator for McClatchy Brothers. He drove for over 20 years. In retirement he enjoyed watching Jeff Gordon, and the Texas Rangers Baseball. He loved spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids. He enjoyed going to the sandhills and working on hot rods.

Ken is preceded in death by his parents Irvin and Marie Boen; his loving wife of 35 years, Caron Boen; sister, Betty; mother-in-law, Joyce and father-in-law, Gene.

Ken is survived by his son, Kevin Dru Boen; daughter, Kim Boen; sister Shirley Boen; grandsons, Kevin James Boen, Kris Boen and his wife, Kira; great grandkids, Jace Boen, Dean Boen, Parker Boen, Dane Boen, Cole Boen, Hope Boen; niece, Diana Stevens and her husband, Jackie; nephews, Wilbur White and his wife Treva, Pd White and his wife Mindy, Bobby Robertson, Kelly Robertson, and many more friends.
