Kenneth Leroy Hodges passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2009 in his home.

He was born in Denver, Colorado on November 13, 1937 to mother Willmina Pearl Irwin and father Ralph Leroy Hodges.

Ken went to Odessa High School and received a degree from Odessa College. He then served in the military from 1956-1959. Following his military career Kenneth worked diligently for local companies before becoming an entrepreneur. He began Machinist Specialty in 1985 and retired in 1999, touching many lives along the way. He was a dedicated member of the McFarland Lodge, a Shriner, and a member of The Scottish Rite. He loved being a part of the Masonic brotherhood and was privileged to become a 33rd Degree Mason in 2000. He was also a life time member of the AF AM of the Masonic Lodge. He was a Grand Master of all three lodges in Texas. He was Knight Commander of the Court of Honour. He received DeMolay Cross of Honor. He worked the 32nd degree team in El Paso, along with many other honors.

Throughout his life, Kenneth was a fun loving and generous father, grandfather and great grandfather. He never met a stranger. He enjoyed playing with the children, a good joke, gambling, and a hard days work. He loved a good Cowboys game. He was a friend to many and left a legacy that will not be forgotten by those who loved and knew him.

He was preceded in death by father Ralph Hodges and brother Jerry Hodges.

He is survived by mother Willmina Pearl; brother Wayne Hodges, sister Paula Phoenix, and brother Randy Richardson.

His spirit will be carried on by his sons: Johnny Hodges of Odessa, James David Hodges of Odessa, and his daughters: Kennie Faye McClinton of Odessa, and Cathey Jo Burnstead of Michigan, as well as the children of his belated wife, Lavona Hodges. Sons, William Hudnall, Cullen Hudnall, and daughter LaTeresa Jennette. Along with 18 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren by whom he will be missed dearly.

Visitation with the family will be 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 PM Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Jerry Patterson officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
