On December 9, 2014, Kenneth Eddy Morris, 90 years old, of Hobbs, NM and formerly of Austin, TX, went to be with his Lord. He was a beloved father of daughter, Paula and husband Roger Gooch of Hobbs, NM, granddaughters, Linda and husband Rocky Bartlett of Hobbs, NM and Shelly Britto and husband Manuel of Lubbock, TX, greatgranddaughters Lisa and husband Justin Gunn of Lovington, NM, Amber Morris of Irving, TX and Abigail Alsup of Plano, TX, great great grandson, Jacob Gunn of Lovington, NM, a sister, Willella Abel of Tulsa OK.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Kay Morris and eight siblings.
Kenneth married Imogene Blankenship on June 6, 1942 and they shared their lives together until her death in 1977.
He married Anna Clark Ward on June 3, 1978 and they shared their lives together until her death on June 3, 2012. He is also survived by her children, Nancy Lacy of Pflugerville, TX, David Ward and wife Judy of Spring, TX, Phyllis Waggoner and husband David of Houston, TX. and Alice Goetsell of Austin, TX.
Kenneth served in the US Navy during World War II. After his discharge, he moved to Oklahoma City and then moved to Odessa in 1952 where he began working for STANCO in Olifield Sales Management. He retired after 35 years of service and moved to Lake Buchanan where he enjoyed fishing and woodworking. In 2012, Kenneth moved to Hobbs, NM
Funeral services will be at 1PM on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens cemetery.
