Kerry Snelson

Kerry Michael Snelson, 61, of Odessa, TX passed away February 13, 2012 with his family by his side in Houston, TX.

Mike was born December 9, 1950 to Leon and Bonnie Pace Snelson in Big Lake, TX. He was a highspirited, fairhearted, and loving husband, father, PopPop, son, brother, and friend. He owned and operated Snelsons Natural Gas Measurement and Testing for 25 years. He served three years in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He loved life and found great happiness through deep dedication to his family, friends, and business. Fishing was his passion and family was his life

Mike is survived by his wife of 37 years, Beverly of Odessa son, Billy of Austin daughter and soninlaw, Cari and David of Odessa grandson, Tate of Odessa mother and stepfather, Bonnie and Cecil of Midland brother and sisterinlaw, Denny and Mona of Midland brother and sisterinlaw, Tim and Sherry of Midland brother and sisterinlaw Steve and Janie of Midland brother and sisterinlaw, Mark and Treva of Whitney and many, many inlaws, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Leon and brother Terry.

Services will be held at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel on Sat., Feb. 18, at 11:00 a.m. with his stepfather, Cecil Robinson officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
