Kevin Evans, 49, of Odessa, Texas, passed away on March 5, 2018 in Odessa, Texas.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, March 9, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Reverend Larry Hood officiating.

Visitation will be immediately following the memorial service at The Permian Basin Fair/SandHills Stock Show & Rodeo Office, 218 W. 46th St.

Kevin Evans was born in Odessa, Texas to Ronnie and Judy Evans on April 21, 1968. Kevin graduated from Permian High School in Odessa Texas where he played baseball. Kevin had the opportunity to play ball at OSU and opted for a better offer to marry the love of his life, Chelli on December 12, 1987.

Kevin worked in the oilfield over 27 years. He is the president of the Sandhills Stock Show & Rodeo and also the Permian Basin Fair & Exposition. Kevin was an avid BBQ Cooker and cooked competitively for many years traveling the BBQ circuit. Kevin loved golf, home improvement projects, NASCAR, little league and college baseball and anything Oklahoma Sooner's!!

Kevin was loved by all and had many, many friends and he loved them all.

Kevin is preceded in death by both his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Kevin is survived by his wife, Chelli Evans of Odessa, TX, his parents, Ronnie & Judy Evans of San Angelo, TX, his sister Kelly Childers and husband, Tommy of Midland, TX, Chester & Bobbie Bean of Springtown, TX, Terry & Denise Browning of Odessa, TX and many loving nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kevin's honor to Sandhills Stock Show & Rodeo or the Permian Basin Fair.
