Kowanda Wade

Kowanda Lee Wade, age 93, passed away on September 22, 2015 in Odessa, TX.

Family will recieve friends from 6pm-8pm Friday September 25, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Eddie Humphries of The Odessa Gospel Lighthouse officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Kowanda was born in Oklahoma to Charlie and Rosa (Lancaster) Lewis on September 22, 1922 and was the 6th of 7 children. She married Huey L. Wade in March of 1958 in New Mexico. She was a homemaker.

Kowanda is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Rosa Lewis, her husband Huey, all six of her brothers and sisters and several extended family members.

Kowanda is survived by her daughter, Trudy and husband Chad of Odessa, TX, a grandson Gunnar Hirst of San Marcos, TX, granddaughter, Raven Hirst of Odessa, TX and numerous nieces and nephews.
