Laney White

Laney White, 83, of Odessa, passed away on January 21, 2015 surrounded by his family at Odessa Regional Hospital.

Visitation will be Friday, January 23, 2015 from 6 pm-8 pm. Funeral Services will be at 4 pm on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Larry Hood officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Laney was born in Ralls, Texas on September 6, 1931 to Fishburn and Marie White. He met his wife Joyce at the age of 12. They married on November 1, 1954 in Ennis, Texas. He worked for Texas Electric for 45 years as a lineman. When not with his family or spoiling his grand kids, he had a love for black powder shooting, riding his trike motorcycle, and enjoying the company of his breakfast friends. Words cannot express how much he was loved and appreciated. He was a true man, daddy, and grandpa who took care of his family with love and generosity; we will forever be truly appreciative. He will be missed tremendously but never forgotten.

Laney is survived by his daughter, Kelley Conlin and her husband Jimmy of Odessa, a sister Dorethy Phillips, two granddaughters Kimberlea and Kelsey Conlin of Odessa, and his one and only little "football buddy" great grandson Kasen.
