Larry Bob Hazard, 62, died in the early morning on October 17, 2021, from injuries sustained in a one vehicle accident in Abilene, Texas.
Larry was born September 17, 1959, in Breckenridge, Texas, to Bob and Betty Hazard. He moved to Odessa, Texas, with his family as a young child where he lived the rest of his life. Larry worked as an electrician with several local contractors but spent the last 33 years working for Dennard Electric, Inc., where he was a project manager.
He was a 1978 graduate of Permian High School. He had various hobbies and interests throughout his life, and was surrounded by the love of family, friends, and coworkers, which he generously returned. Larry was always known to be a hard worker who expected things to be done right and would go the extra mile to make sure they were. He was easy-going, quick to smile and laugh, and was generous with his time and labor when someone needed help.
Larry will be greatly missed by family, friends, and coworkers.
He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, David, and Deniece Hazard of Odessa; stepdaughter Haley Price and husband John and their children Marlis and Harper Lee of Alpine; brother-in-law Lin Travis; three nephews, Evan Hazard and wife Angie, Kasey Travis and wife Marsha, and Stephen Hazard, Jr., all of Odessa; 3 nieces, Kara Travis and Savannah Skipworth of Odessa, and Haley Hazard of McKinney; 17 great nieces and nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He in preceded in death by parents Bob and Betty Hazard, brother Stephen Hazard, Sr., and sister Karen Travis, all of Odessa.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, October 25, 2021, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Clydel Chapman will officiate.
