Latrice Neves

Wanda Latrice Neves of New Braunfels, Texas, was called home Friday, June 17, 2022.

Latrice was born December 8, 1940, in Ropesville, Texas to L.A. and Vivian Robertson in a small farmhouse during a snowstorm. Latrice lived and went to school in Levelland, Texas.

She married the love of her life Billy Wayne Neves, also from Levelland, on June 22, 1958. They moved to Odessa shortly after they were married. They started their family of 5 children in 1961.

Latrice was a homemaker and an excellent seamstress. She made clothes for the entire family. She and Bill along with their 5 children started a Christmas decorating legacy on Newell Road. They decorated approximately 1 acre of their property with Christmas buildings, lights and all kinds of wooden cutouts. This was a tradition passed down from Latrice's parents. They entered the Odessa Christmas decorating contest every year. People from all over the world would come to see the lights. The last Christmas for the lights was December 2011.

They were also motorcycle enthusiasts. They liked to take motorcycle road trips with their friends. As a family we took vacation every summer traveling and camping in different states of the U.S.

Latrice is preceded in death by her parents, L.A. and Vivian Robertson and her beloved Bill of 54 years.

Latrice is survived by her children, Lisa and Dwayne West of New Braunfels, TX, Fred and Stacy Neves of Cedar Park, TX, Gene and Melinda Neves of Katy, TX, Tony and Amy Neves of Waxahachie, TX & last but not least Joe and Rich Neves of Morgan, TX.

Grandchildren, Amy and Stephen Adams of New Braunfels, TX,  Austin and Aspen Stoker of Odessa, TX,  Nichole Neves and Edgar of Houston , Elyse Neves of Katy, TX, Kandace and Brian Robinson of Leander, Brooke and Pete De La Paz of Cedar Park, TX, Ethan Neves of Midland, TX, Nathan Parker, Chris Parker, Reagan Parker and Logan Neves of Waxahachie, TX; great grandchildren, Landry Adams of New Braunfels, TX, Cash, Nash and Riley Stoker, Paxton and Payton Baker of Odessa, TX, Chase Robinson of Leander, TX, Gracie and Leondro De La Paz , Aries Neves of Midland, TX, Anthony and Alex of Houston, TX.

Pallbearers will be Fred, Gene, Tony, Joe Neves, Dwayne West and Austin Stoker. Gene Neves will officiate.

Latrice's family wish to extend our sincere thanks to Eden Hill Communities nurses, Christus Santa Rosa Hospital nurses and Dr.s and friends of the families for all of the love, support, food and flowers.

Services will be Tuesday June 21, 2022, 10 AM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 6801 E Hwy 80 Odessa, TX 79762.
