Lavaughn Ross

LaVaughn Ross, age 79, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, Texas, in the presence of family.

She was born April 19, 1931 in Albany, Texas to Roy Earl and Lettie Norman. LaVaughn was a loving mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother and greatgreatgrandmother. She was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan who never missed a game. She loved to fish, shop, work in her yard and loved playing card games and spending time with family, friends and her dog, Tiffany.

LaVaughn was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Ross her parents, Roy and Lettie Norman and her brother, Bill Norman.

She is survived by her son, Glen Ross of Odessa her daughter, Vonda McKown and husband George of Spring, Texas four grandchildren, Shelly Copeland and husband Danny of Loop, Texas Sonya Brown and husband Ray of Odessa Ross McKown and wife, Stephanie of San Diego California, Chase McKown of Spring, Texas six great grandchildren, Ashley Caddell and husband, Jesse Bryce Long, Meagan Epperson, Keely Epperson, Austin Twilligear and Kaden Ross two great great grandchildren Dylan and Alyssa numerous nieces, nephews and friends, including two special friends, Shirley and Shelley, who were just like daughters to her. They loved her and did a lot of care giving for her.

Visitation with the family is scheduled for 67 PM Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Thursday, October 21, 2010 at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made to the Cancer Foundation of your choice.
