Lawrence Gipson

Lawrence Neil Gipson, age 81, of Odessa, TX, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2017 in Odessa.

Neil was born September 18, 1935 to Wiley Newell Gipson and Lura Mae (Brooks) Gipson in Texola, Oklahoma. He served in the United States Army from 1955-1957. Neil married Shirley Jean on April 27, 1957 in Shamrock, TX and they remained married for 60 wonderful years. Neil was employed by Phillips Petroleum for 40 years.

Neil is preceded in death by his parents, Wiley and Lura Gipson and his brother, Eddie Gerald Gipson.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Shirley Gipson, his children, Danny Ray Gipson and his wife Karen, Ronda Kay Blethroade and her husband, Rick, his sisters, Willie Burrows and Shirley Tuttle, 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
