Leah Tate

Leah Sue Tate, 58, of Odessa passed away Friday, May 2, 2008, in Lubbock. She was born July 21, 1949, in Abilene to Eva Shelton and Bill Tate.

Leah was a loving mother, grandmother, and daughter. Leah was a giving and caring person, she was a little crazy at times, she enjoyed the simple things, it didnt take much to make her happy. Leah sought education for several years and completed her sophomore year at UTPB. She will be missed by many and is loved by many especially her family.

Graveside services are scheduled for 1:00 PM Monday, May 5, 2008, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Dr. Jimmy Braswell officiating.

Survivors: sons Jimmy McDowell and wife Renea of Odessa, Bobby McDowell and wife Melinda of Odessa, Michael Spratt and wife Elaine of Conroe.

Mother: Eva Shelton of Odessa, four grandchildren Brittany and Hunter McDowell, and Brayden and Allison Spratt.

She was preceded by her father Billy Tate, her brother Jeff Tate, and grandson Bentley McDowell.
