Lee Bell

Elmer Lee Roy Bell, age 78, of Odessa, TX, passed away on November 28, 2017 in Odessa.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 pm, Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 pm, Monday, December 4, 2017 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Allen Weakland and Pastor Jim Rowlett officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Lee Roy Bell was born January 10, 1939 to William David Bell and Myrtle Lee (Stegall) Bell in Santa Anna, TX. He moved to Odessa in 1947 graduating the last year Odessa High School was the only high school, 1957. Lee Roy married Sharon Williams on May 30, 1958 in Odessa. Together they had a daughter, Diane, December of 1959 and a son, Roy Lee, November of 1966. Lee Roy was a police officer from 1960-1966 in Odessa. The family moved to Kermit, TX in 1966 and he was a police officer there from 1966-1973. Lee Roy was a bricklayer and owned Bell Masonry from 1973 until his death. His favorite hobby was his street rods, a 1948 Chevy Convertible, 1929 Model A Pickup, and 1962 Corvaire. He also loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Lee Roy is preceded in death by his loving wife, Sharon Beth Bell.

He is survived by his daughter and son in-law, Diane and Harold Carver; his son and daughter in-law, Roy Lee and Shari Bell; 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
