Leemore F. Cook passed from this earth to Heaven on December the 10, 2013. Born on January 15, 1928 to Hazel Macon Fuqua and Jack Fuqua of Stamford, Texas. Married Clinton Kimbell Cook, Jr. on June 25 1949 in Stamford, Texas. Leemore graduated Salutatorian from Stamford High School in 1945 and attended North Texas State Teachers College now, University of North Texas. Her only mode of transportation was her horse, Chigger. She was awarded her Bachelors in Business Administration in 1948 after only 3 years of college at the age of 20.
After graduation, she worked as a legal assistant at Security Abstract and Title. She was later hired by Ector County Independent School District where she taught typing and Gregg shorthand. She also taught business machines at Odessa College in the evenings.
She is preceded in her death by her husband, Kimbell two children, Clinton Neal and Deborah Ellen and two brothers, Sterling Neal Fuqua and Royce Gilbert Fuqua of Stamford. She is survived by her twin sons, Donald of Lago Vista, TX and his children, Nealy, Parker and Grayson and Ronald, his wife, Michelle of Lubbock and his sons, Cade and Braden.
She loved the Lord and was a charter member of the Eisenhower Church of Christ in Odessa and a member at Broadway Church of Christ in Lubbock. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority since 1949 and a member of the Golden Girls She travelled the world and was witness to all of Gods omnipotence. She was truly blessed.
Visitation will be Friday, December 13th from 6:00 8:00 pm at Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home in Odessa. Graveside services will be Saturday, December 14th at 10:00 am.
