Leola Biddy

Leola Mae Biddy, 77, of Odessa, went to be with her Lord on Friday Morning, June 21, 2013.

A visitation will be held on Monday night, from 6 pm to 8 pm at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Services will be Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at 10 am at the Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.

Mae was born on May 2, 1936 in Portales, NM to William Perry Bunch and Stella Mae Owens Bunch. She was a long time resident of Odessa, working many years as a waitress. On November 25, 1957 she married Robert Henry Biddy, Jr. He preceded her in death in 1972 and she will be laid to rest next to him at Sunset Memorial Gardens following the service. Even though there were 33 years difference in their ages, Mae said that was the best 14 years of her life. She raised her five children, three who were under the age of 5, by herself. Never marrying again, she had said Once you had the best, there was no reason to try again.

Her husband, parents, and two sisters Leanora Bunch and Kathleen Smith, brotherinlaw Johnny Smith and sisterinlaw Betty Bunch preceded her in death.

She is survived by her daughter, Kay Canales and husband Sisto, her son Robert Henry Biddy III and wife Julia, daughter Paula Doss and fianc Steve Eades, daughter Pamela Albritton and husband Ronny, and son Roger Biddy all of Odessa. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren Billy Wadle and wife Toni, Chris Wadle and wife Carrie, Melinda Wadle Chavez and husband Reggie, Brittany Biddy, Robert Henry Biddy IV, Danielle Biddy, Tiffany Biddy, Jeffery Dughman, David Dughman, Brian Dughman, Ashley Albritton Davis and husband Jordan, and Shelby Albritton 14 great grandchildren and one greatgreat granddaughter. Siblings include Buddy Bunch and wife Sandy, Kenneth Bunch and wife Vivian, and Ronnie Bunch and wife Diane all of Odessa.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and a great grandson.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the tender and loving care shown by the staffs at Hospice House and Deerings Nursing Home, thank you.
