Leona Bell

Leona Bell, 91, of Odessa, TX passed away on Friday, September 29, 2017 in Hobbs, NM.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Chapel with Reverend Dr. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Sunset Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.

Leona was born in Mills County, to Adolph and Helen Rackow October 5, 1925. She married Johnnie S. Bell on January 15, 1944 in Coleman, TX. She raised her family and helped Johnnie in his service station business.

Leona is preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Bell and her parents and four brothers and two sisters.

Leona is survived by one son David Bell of Odessa and one daughter Darlene Jackson and her husband Richard of Hobbs, NM. She has 6 grandchildren, Allan Bell, Karol Edwards, Patricia Anderson, Darren Blair, Hollie Blair and Kathy Bryant. She has 13 great grandchildren, Caleb, Derrick, Bethany, and Megan Bell, Colton and Krystal Edwards, Kaylie Russell, Addison Ainsworth, Laura Ashley Smith, Ryan Anderson, Kristin Withrow, and Ashley Sutton and A. J. Kent as well as two great, great grandchildren Camden Fields and Nevaeha Sutton.

She was greatly loved and will be missed.
