Leopoldo Soto

Leopoldo Casillas Soto, 58, of Odessa, passed away Friday, November 3, 2017 in Odessa.

Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 pm on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 with a Rosary at 7:00 pm at Sunset Memorial Funeral Chapel.

Mass will be held at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Leopoldo was born November 15, 1958, in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico to Jesus and Martina Soto. He went to school in Mexico. He married Cleopatra Perales on December 7, 1978. He worked as a truck driver for many years before fulfilling his dream of owning his own trucking company, Five S Trucking in January 2017.

He loved spending time with his grandchildren and family, horseback riding, and playing his guitar. Some of the biggest passions in his life were going horseback riding with his son and nephews, he loved playing his guitar at family gatherings and singing Latin music but above all he loved spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. Leopoldo was a hard worker, always putting everyone before him. Heaven gained a true angel the day he was taken from us.

Leopoldo is preceded in death by his father Jesus Soto.

Leopoldo is survived by his wife Cleopatra Soto; sons Mark and his wife Marie, Clay and his wife Eva, daughter Isabella; brothers Alfredo Soto, Jose Soto, Angel Soto, Frank Soto and Valentine Soto; sisters Victoria Garcia, Maria Rodriguez, and Adela Soto; mother Martina Soto; grandchildren Noah Soto, Alyssa Soto, Cristian Soto, Adriana Soto, Aaliyah Soto, and Zoe Soto.

Pall bearers will be Oscar Garcia, Zack Huertas, Gerardo Favela, Michael Soto, Cristian Manriquez, Clay Soto, Mark Soto, Alfredo Soto, and Noah Soto.
