Leslie Strickland

Leslie Carol Strickland, age 54, of Odessa, TX, passed away on October 12, 2016 in Odessa.

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 pm, Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Crossroads Fellowship Church, 6901 East Hwy 191, in Odessa, with David Newton officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Leslie was born October 27, 1961 to Arvis Dale Stanaland and Carolyn Sue (Washington) Stanaland in Big Spring, TX. She graduated from Robert E. Lee. Also, she was a member of Crossroads Fellowship. She worked as a senior production invoice processor for Conoco Phillips for over 10 years. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Odessa College with a degree in culinary arts. She was owner and operator of The Bakery, in Odessa TX. She was an excellent cook and loved baking for all of her family and friends.

Leslie is preceded in death by her father, Dale Stanaland, step father, Robert J. (Bob) Touchstone, and her dog, Shivers.

Leslie is survived by her children, Jeremy Strickland, Courtney Strickland and husband, JD Grimley; sister, Laurie Hall; mother, Carolyn Touchstone; grandchildren, Scarlet & Kara Strickland, Tearney Grimley; step grandchildren, Jade Timmons, Gage, Ta` lyr , Hana & Dylan Grimley, life friend, Jaker Strickland, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces & nephews, and many friends of Bill W.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Strickland, JD Grimley, Casey Taylor, Garrett Hall, John Raymond Barrioz, and Jackson Grist.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association and to Crossroads Fellowship Church.
