Lester Wheeler

Lester Eugene Wheeler, age 76 of Odessa, TX. passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013.

He was born September 27, 1936 in Flora, Illinois to Harry Woodrow Wheeler and Violet Elmeda Hamilton. He married Elizabeth Joan Fatheree on October 14, 1955 in Flora, Illinois. They lived in Hobbs, Carlsbad, Bloomfield and Farmington, N.M. before moving to Odessa in 1964. He worked for Equipment Renewal for 24 years, and Wellhead Works for 4 years before retiring in 2008.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth of Odessa his son, Alan Eugene Wheeler of Odessa daughter, Suzanne Marie Hulsey and husband Roger of Odessa sisters, Joyce Cook of Clay City, Illinois, Linda Dulaney and husband Jake of Flora, Illinois, and Barbara Strange of Clay City, Illinois grandchildren, Sharon Wheeler of Midland, Karen Wheeler, Bradley Hulsey and wife Jennifer and Brandon Hulsey, all of Odessa and 8 great grandchildren

Visitation with the family will be 68 PM Friday, April 26, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Sunset Heights Baptist Church, 2401 W. 16th Street, Odessa, Texas with Pastor Jess Little officiating.

Pallbearers will be Brad Hulsey, Brandon Hulsey, Sam Stanley, Alan Wheeler, Aaron Ellis, Randall Brown and Roger Hulsey.
