LIlly Kay Lovell, 77 of Odessa, TX passed away peacefully at home on January 10, 2019.
She was born in Duncan, OK on March 23, 1941 to Alto Leona & Floyd Rilo Morris. She graduated from Lovington High School in New Mexico in 1959. She was married to Troy Lovell on December 12, 1981. While she enjoyed being a homemaker, she also worked outside of the home at various times for National, Kelly's Tool Works and The Grandmothers Shop.
Lilly was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. She loved working in her wood shop, playing guitar, piano and listening to country music, especially George Strait. Lilly also loved spending time with her grandchildren, shooting the BB gun, playing checkers, Uno, and doing arts and crafts. Lilly enjoyed the company of her cats, Lola and Miss Kitty. She was an absolutely amazing mother and is deeply loved by her 5 children.
Lilly is preceded in death by her parents and husband Troy.
She is survived by children, Leslee Lovell, Jamie Dawson and her husband Tye, Tray Dix and his wife Nicole, Jason Dix and his wife Christine, and Greta Shipman; grandchildren, Justin, Joshua, Shelby and her husband Luis, Audrey and her husband Jordan, Amanda, Zachary, J.J. And Eastan; great grandchildren Sophie, Kingsley and Chloe (coming February 2019); brother, Floyd Morris of Vernal, Utah; sisters, Margie Murray and her husband Don, Virgie Martin & her late husband Larry of Odessa, Patsy Hubbard and her husband David of Montgomery and many nieces and nephews and friends in low places.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Home Hospice, especially to the wonderful nurse, Tammy Solley.
Graveside services will be held Monday, January 14, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
