Linda Fay Alvey of Odessa Texas, passed away on December 31, 2014 in Odessa.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Monday, January 5, 2014 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Reverend Dr. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Linda was born in Eldorado, Arkansas to Josie and John C. Sinclair on July 16, 1927. She attended school in Wink, Texas. She married Floyd Alford Alvey on September 14, 1946.
Linda was so loved by her family and friends. They looked to her as a good listener and really enjoyed her company. Family was her life. She loved cooking big meals on the holidays for her family and friends. She was definitely a homebody. She enjoyed the time she spent with her family and friends.
Linda is preceded in death by her husband Floyd Alvey two sons, Bobby Joe Alvey and Daniel Ray Alvey her parents, Josie and John Sinclair and sister Wanda Corbin
She is survived by her daughter Constance Clonts and daughterinlaw, Diane Alvey of Grapevine, Texas two sisters Marie Gregory of Kingsland, Tx and Betty Burns of Denton, Texas five grandchildren: Cheri Craig, Yvonne Chambers and husband, Casey of Abilene TX, Sean Clonts and wife, Kristy of Rio Vista, Texas Dallas Alvey and wife, Ahn of Houston, Texas, Rachel Vasquez and husband, Frank of Grapevine, Texas eight greatgrandchildren: Buckley , Dakota, Tobias and Emily Craig Chloe Clonts Candice and Phoenix Alvey and Josiah Vasquez one greatgreat granddaughter, Katelyn Craig.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the first responders that took care of Linda and the very special staff in CCU at Medical Center Hospital.
