Linda Burnett

Linda Jo Burnett, beloved wife, mother and Mommo passed from this life into the Lords hands Sunday afternoon, November 3rd at Hospice House in Odessa Texas.

Linda was born in Brownwood Texas to Jot Smyth and Willene Wigley Tucker on July 20th 1943. At a young age Linda moved to Odessa with her family, where she grew up and graduated from Odessa High School in 1961. On August 31st 1963 she married Jimmie Burnett. Linda and Jimmie made their home in Odessa where they raised their three boys and later played a huge role in the lives of their five grandchildren. Lindas strength and will to live has left an everlasting legacy for her kids and grandkids who experienced unending and indescribable love her legacy has forever shaped us.

Linda is survived by her husband of 50 years Jimmie Burnett, her three sons and their wives John and his wife Diane of Odessa, Wesley and his wife Melisa of Andrews, and Jason and his wife Christi of Houston. Linda was blessed with five grandchildren: Hayden, Hunter, Caleb, Cayli and Rileigh Burnett. Linda is also survived by three siblings: Brenda McDonald and her husband George, Mary Hamilton and her husband Jim, and Jot Tucker and his wife Kay. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:00 pm Tuesday November 5th at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 pm Wednesday November 6th at Immanuel Baptist Church with Reverend Don Allen presiding.
