Linda Metcalf

Linda Lea Metcalf born July 9, 1940 left her earthly family May 27, 2015. She is the daughter of Willard and Margaret Metcalf who preceded her in death. Linda had recently moved to Odessa, TX from Wichita, KS. Prior to that, she lived in Mapleton, KS for several years.

Her biggest joy was spending time with family, which she did on a recent trip to her family reunion. She loved gardening, bird watching, talking to family daily and playing her computer games

Linda is preceded in death by her son, Bill Rees Jr, brothers, Bob Metcalf and Albert Metcalf, sister, Lisa Cowher and Bo her beloved sidekick of 15 years.

She is survived by her sister, Loretta Harris (Bob) of Merriam, KS, brothers, Larry Metcalf (Betty) of Bull Shoals, MO and Danny Metcalf (Joyce) of Ft Scott, KS. Three daughters, Sherrill Rees Rhodes (Zoltan) of Odessa, TX, Becky Rees Fife (David) of Wichita, KS and Cindy Rees Martinson (Richard) of Cross Timbers, MO. Six grandchildren, Dereck Miller (Crystal), Mandi Rhue (Ryan), Sarah Thurston, Adam Thurston, Robin Mason (Cameron), Heath Glasscock (Dani) and seven great grandchildren.

A celebration of Linda's life is being planned for a later date.The family request in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charitable organization of your choice in her name.
