Lois Cox

Lois Marie Cox went to be with her Heavenly Father on December 24, 2016 in Midland, Texas.
Graveside services will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa, Texas on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Clydel Chapman officiating.
Marie was born in Bellville, TX to Joe and Lonie Long on June 23, 1926. She graduated from Coleman High School in Coleman, TX in 1943. She worked in the hotel industry until 1978 and that is when she met the love of her life, Elbert L. (Ace) Cox. They married in Odessa, Texas on December 18, 1980. She then assisted keeping books for his business, Ace Cox Equipment until his death in 1987. After Ace passed away, she became very involved in clogging and line dancing and met so many wonderful people. She also joined the line dancing group at the Odessa YMCA which she dearly loved. Marie was a member of the Northside Baptist Church of Odessa, Texas.
Mrs. Cox was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ace Cox, two brothers Travis and Howard Long, as well as her sister, Gladys Risinger.
She is survived by her daughters and their loving spouses, Sue and Richard Hanna of Amarillo, TX., Sandy and Charlie Beasley of Midland, TX., Brenda and Tony Hanks of Odessa, TX., Becca and Greg Escobedo of Midland, TX., her loving step-daughter Londie and Randy Shirley of Keene, TX., six grandchildren, eight step grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Midland or a Charity of your choice.
Her family would like to sincerely thank Hospice of Midland for their excellent and compassionate care, Crystal, her amazing and loving caregiver, and Nora, who was our mother's angel and inspiration. Our mother loved them all.
