Lois Grizzell

Daughter, Mother, Memaw, Nana, Aunt, Friendwhatever you called her, we all loved her. Lois Dee Grizzell, age 73, vacated her temporary home on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 in San Antonio, Texas, to join those loved ones who have passed before her into the home of our Heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ.

She was born December 18, 1936 in Odessa, Texas to Woodie and Irene Gentry. She married Bill Grizzell on September 27, 1952 in Portales, New Mexico. She lost her love on December 31, 1990 and never remarried. She was a beloved mother, devoted Memaw and besotted Nana. The last years of her life were devoted to loving and spoiling her greatgrandchildren as much as she could.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Woodie and Irene Gentry husband Bill Grizzell brothers, Dale and Bob Gentry and sister, Doris Lawson.

She leaves behind many that will miss her including her son and daughterinlaw, Woodie and Leslie Grizzell of San Antonio, Texas daughter and soninlaw, Nancy and Ed Hall of Flower Mound, Texas sisterinlaw, Edna Dane of Odessa grandson, Billy Grizzell and wife Melissa of Odessa granddaughters, April Carman and husband Brent, Crystal Hughes and husband Ryon and Angela Helm, all of Odessa, Fran Johnson of Euless, Texas and Ashley Smith and husband Blanton of College Station, Texas great grandchildren, Cody Hughes, Keely Hughes, Karly Hughes, Katie Klein, Tyler Grizzell, Mackenzie Carman, Jacob Hughes, Tatum Luxton, Bailey Grizzell, Tanner Carman, Sarah Johnson and Preston Grizzell. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be 68 PM Thursday, November 4, 2010 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Friday, November 5, 2010 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Cook officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
