Lois Gene Booth Wood, 90, of Odessa, Texas passed away on January 19, 2022 in Odessa, Texas

Visitation will be from 1:00-3:00 PM, Sunday, January 23, 2022 at Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, January 24, 2022 at Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home with the pastor Clydel Chapman of Northside Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Lois Gene was born in Midland to Archie and Madie Booth on September 21, 1931.  She graduated from Midland High School. Lois married Clifton C. Wood on January 5, 1949.  She worked as an office manager in the oil field industry for many years and then worked at Medical Center Hospital in the communications department for 25 years.

Lois Gene is preceded in death by her husband Clifton Wood in 1998 and her youngest daughter Minka Wood in 1984.

She is survived by one daughter Kimberly Gooden and her husband Carl, one granddaughter Kelsi, 3 sisters, Nancy Jones of Abilene, Zella Huggins of Midland and Cynthia Huber of Minnesota.

The family would like to thank Brother Clydel Chapman for his constant support and prayers and his many visits to see Gene in the hospital and nursing home.
