Lola Witherspoon

Lola Lorraine Witherspoon, age 83, passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2010 in Alamogordo, New Mexico.

Lola was born March 17, 1927 in Ranger, Texas to Aora Perry Howell and Bertha Lee Graves Howell. In 1945, Lola married Charles David Witherspoon in Ranger, Texas.

Lola was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a sister, Madeline Kirk.

Survivors include her daughters, Charlotte Moore of Lamesa, Texas, Darlene Criner of Camarrillo, California and Linda Bambach of Alamogordo, New Mexico eight grandchildren ten great grandchildren three sisters, Lila Merritt of California and Wanda Sherman of Texas and Betty Fitz Morris of Oklahoma one brother, Perry Howell of Texas.

Visitation with friends and family will be 57 PM Friday, August 13, 2010 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 14, 2010 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Jimmy Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
