Loretta Kaye Burge of Odessa, TX passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 in Odessa.
Visitation will be at 6 to 7:30 PM, Sunday, July 20, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Monday, July 21, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Paul Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Loretta was born in Andrews, TX to Boyd and Pauline Burge on January 26, 1943. She went to Odessa High and Permian High Schools. She was a long time Book Keeper Office Manager for Pro Inspection, Inc.
Loretta was proud that she played in the band and was a part of one the first graduating classes at Permian High School. She was an avid Mojo fan and very seldom missed a game until her health kept her from attending. She was known for secretly sending motivational messages props to teams before big games. She was a faithful member of First Assembly and Faith Tabernacle Church. She had a great voice and loved singing with the choir. Loretta was a faithful daughter and spent many years living with and taking care of her mother until her death. She loved attending functions of her nieces and nephews and especially the many grand nieces and nephews.
Loretta is preceded in death by her mother, Pauline Burge, sisters, Emma Mayebell Hooper and Joyce Nell Esmon and brother Danny Burge.
She is survived by nephews Fred Oren Wilson III and wife Becky, Michael Wayne Wilson and wife Patty of Odessa. Nieces Donna Overton of Mesa, AZ, Debra Miller and husband Lance of Dallas, Rhonda Doan and Husband Steve of Odessa, Jill Little of San Antonio, Laura Golden and Husband David of Lagrange.
Pall Bearers will be Tyler Doan, Gregg Schmedes, Chris Looney, Tim White, Zack Smith and Jim Donimey.
