Loyce Terry

Loyce Lee "Gabby" Terry passed away on January 24, 2019 in Odessa, Texas.

Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 PM, Sunday, January 27, 2019 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Monday, January 28, 2019 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Donald Bailey, his son-in-law of North Oaks Church of San Antonio, and Reverend Charles McBryde of Pathway Baptist Church of Odessa officiating.

Loyce was born in Greer, South Carolina to John Marcus Terry and Lillie Lee Howard Terry on Sept 23, 1936. He was raised in a mill village in Spartanburg, SC in a Christian home and played and sang gospel music with his Daddy, sisters, and cousins. He left South Carolina at the age of 26 and met the love of his life in Odessa, Texas. He worked in the oil field for the rest of his career. His hobbies were woodworking, fishing, and watching his grandkids play sports.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Lillie Terry, and Martha Terry Evatt.

He is survived by his wife, Sue Terry, daughters Sonya Bailey (Donald), Tonya Brady, Toshi White (Kent), and son Lee Terry (Tracy), grandkids, Carra (Jacob), Crista, Calyn, Caleb (Miranda), Carson, Alex, Makayla, Amber (Brad) and Tiffany; great grandkids, Jase, Drew and Lydia; brother, Marion Terry (Barbara), and Sister Sarah Smalley (Ronald).

Pall Bearers are as follows, Caleb Bailey, Carson Bailey, Alex Halfacre, Jacob Greer, Scot Davis, and Chris Melin.
