Lucile Rogers

July 17, 1920 — September 27, 2018

Lucile Davison Rogers was born July 17, 1920 in Kiowa, OK to Henry and Susie Davison, she was the 10th of 14 children.

Lucile graduated Salutatorian of her high school. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Major in Journalism. She put that degree to work for newspapers in Hobbs, NM, Monahans, TX and here in Odessa. She has two published books: one of poetry called Lucy's Lockets and Seven Sons, Seven Daughters. Her second book is in the Historical Archives in Oklahoma City.

Lucile met and married Walter Penn Rogers while she was employed at the Pentagon in Washington, DC. They had three children: Penny Lou, David Roy and James (Jim). All three of her children are baptized believers, as was she, and she was a charter member of Grace Christian Fellowship.

Walter Penn Rogers passed away on Thursday, September 6, 1988 and Lucile passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2018.

Lucile leaves behind her three children; Penny Lou Dudley and husband, Robert, David Roy Rogers and wife, Maggie, James (Jim) Rogers and wife, Patsy; grandchildren, Robbie Dudley and wife, Michelle, Chris Dudley and wife, Julie, Patrick Dudley, David
Michael Rogers and wife Rachelle, Julie Flores and husband, Steve, Matt and Courtney Rogers, Susan Rogers as well as a host of other family members and friends.
