Lyla Ray Greene, age 6 weeks and 2 days of Dallas, TX, passed away on November 15, 2017 in Dallas, TX.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 pm, Monday, November 20, 2017 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be at 4:00 pm, Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Dr. Jimmy Braswell officiating.

Lyla Ray Greene was born at UT Southwestern Clements Hospital in Dallas, TX to Devin Clee Greene and Lacy Lynn Sewell on October 2, 2017. Lyla baby we know you fought so hard every single day. I'm so blessed God picked us to be your parents, to hold your hand and fight your fight with you. If love would have saved you, no doubt, you would be here! Sometimes the body is just weaker than the soul. You amaze mommy and daddy every day and will forever be in the hearts of many people, even those that are barely meeting you here today! Fly with the butterflies my little sweet one. We all love you sweet girl!

Lyla is preceded in death by her aunt, Rebecca Ray Sewell; grandma, Darlene Howell Sewell; grandpa, Bobby Q. Sewell, and great grandpa, Ray S. Rodgers.

Lyla is survived by her parents, Devin Greene and Lacy Sewell; grandparents, Bobby Sewell, Stacy and Manuel Cruz, Heather and Galen Greene; aunt, Amber Carrasco; uncles, Jonathon Greene and Nathan Greene as well as many other loving family members.

Pallbearers will be Lacy and Devin.

The family of Lyla Greene wish to extend our sincere thanks to Children's Medical Center of Dallas, TX.

Memorial contributions may be made to Ronald McDonald House or to Children's Heart Disease Research.
