Mabel Powell

Mabel Powell, 71, of Odessa, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2009 in Midland. She was born October 17, 1937 in Midland to John Douglas Nix and Marvalene Cole Nix.

She is survived by her husband, Pat Powell of Odessa; daughters, Sheila Brunner of Flatonia, Texas, and Terri Banzet of Odessa; son, Gene P. Powell, Jr. of Gardendale; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sisters, Donna Butler of Midland, Betty Kennedy of Canon City, Colorado, Bunny Adams of Odessa and Joyce Roberson of Odessa.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 5:00-8:00 PM Friday, May 1, 2009 in Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 PM Saturday, May 2, 2009 in Sherwood Baptist Church with Don Fankhouser officiating. Interment will follow in Resthaven Cemetery in Midland.

Arrangements are under the direction of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
