Marca Washburn

Marca Michelle Washburn, 51, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 16, 2023, surround by her family.

Marca was born to Tommy and Lynda Bryant in Odessa, TX, on May 25, 1971. Marca attended Permian High School and Texas Tech University.

In her youth, Marca was a standout softball player. It is not clear if she loved playing softball more or just the quality time, she got to spend with her dad who taught her the ins and outs of the game. Her greatest memory and a story she proudly told often was how she pitched a no-hitter in a national championship game.

Following college, Marca worked at family owned Coppinger Supply company, then later went on to be the GM at the MCM Elegante Hotel in Odessa. Marca had a knack for business, customer service and was a fierce negotiator. Much of what Marca knew was self-taught, making her all the more special. Marca spent the last several years in her favorite role, taking great care of her family.

On September 22, 2001, Marca married the love of her life, Coby Washburn. They enjoyed attending sporting events, watching shows, lake trips, and long talks. Marca was very passionate and proud of her family. She was the biggest advocate for her kids. She was the loudest cheerleader in the stands when her babies were on the field! Marca also loved being a Gigi! Becoming a grandmother was her newest title that she ooo’d and ahhhhh’d over!

Marca’s dedication to family and her love, support and encouragement to all who knew her is something that will truly be missed!

Marca is preceded in death by her father, Tommy Bryant.

Marca is survived by her husband, Coby Washburn; son, Caden Washburn; daughters, Kaysen Washburn, Kalie Bartholomae and husband Sam; brother, Terry Bryant and wife Angie; sister, Wendy Whirley and husband Phillip; mother, Lynda Bryant; and two grandchildren, Beau and Otto. As well as a father-in-law, many brother and sister in-laws, nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Kyle Rogers will be officiating. A burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.
