Margaret “Mimi” Bullington, of Odessa passed away at the age of 95 on Monday, February 26, 2024. Mimi was born on February 2, 1929, in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She moved with her family the summer before her senior year in high school to McAllen, Texas, where she later met Nolan Bullington. They married on September 12th, 1953, then shortly after moved to west Texas so that Nolan could trade working on the offshore drilling platforms in the Gulf for work in the oilfields of the Permian Basin. In the early 60s, they settled in Odessa and raised three daughters. Margaret and Nolan celebrated over 25 years of marriage before his passing in 1979.
Of all of her accomplishments, being Mimi was her greatest and proudest role. She was Mimi to Bryan, Nolan, Josh, Hillary, Erica, and Melina. She attended each of their sports events, played endless hours of games, and loved spending time completing jigsaw puzzles. When she wasn’t spending time playing with grandchildren, she enjoyed quilting.
Mimi had three daughters, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Stone and husband Danny of Odessa, Texas; daughter, Connie Tidwell and husband Mark, of Blanco, Texas, and daughter, Lisa Crothers and husband Scott of Katy, Texas; her grandchildren, Bryan Stone (Laci Jo), Nolan Tidwell (Brittany), Josh Tidwell (Brittani), Hillary Griffith (Corrie), and Erica and Melina Crothers. She is preceded in death by her parents, Cornelius and Edith Hartnett; her husband, Nolan Bullington; and sister, Dorothy Jean Bryant.
