Margaret Christensen

February 27, 1919 — October 13, 2018

On October 13, 2018, Jesus took Margaret Christensen into his arms and said, "Well done good and faithful servant. Let's go home.

Margaret was born February 27, 1919 in Claflin, Kansas to Grover and Mary Gilstrap. She attended Phillips University in Enid, Oklahoma where she met and married the love of her life, Jim Christensen. Jim, being a minister, used to say that when a church hired him, they got two for the price of one, and he was correct. She was the perfect minister's wife.

Margaret is preceded in death by her loving husband, Jim Christensen; parents, Mary and Grover Gilstrap; two sisters, Myrna Carver and Esther Gray; and one brother, Orvan Gilstrap.

She is survived by her daughters, Lynda Terry and her husband, Bill, of Odessa, and Becky Christensen of Ft. Worth, TX; granddaughter, Heather Terry Robinett and her husband, Derek of Midland, TX; grandson, Chris Terry and his wife, Brenda of Odessa, TX; and four great grandchildren, Emily and Ryan Robinett and Brooklyn and Hayden Terry.

There will be a family and friends graveside service, Friday, October 19, 2018 at 10:00 AM, at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials may be made to Phillips Theological Seminary, 901 N. Mingo Rd., Tulsa, Oklahoma, 74116.

Margaret always said she was born loving God and her life was a testament to that fact.
