Margery Ayers

Margery Ayers passed away on Monday, June 3, 2024, at home in Odessa, Texas.

Visitation will be 6:00 PM – 7:30PM on Thursday, June 6^th, 2024, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home in Odessa, Texas.

Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM, Friday, June 7^th, 2024, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with her son, Donnie Ayers officiating. Arrangements are by Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.

Margery was born in Alamo, Texas to George and Mary Graves on May1, 1938. She graduated from Odessa High School in 1955. She married Ray Ayers on July 18, 1956. Margery chose to spend the next 68 years nurturing her family with love and encouragement through all the obstacles that life presented. Her favorite times were those shared with family. Whether she was fishing at the lake, cooking holiday treats or recognizing individual accomplishments, Margery was always looking forward to the next family gathering.

Margery is preceded in death by her parents, George and Mary Graves; and by her siblings, Billy Graves, Bob Graves, Donald Graves, and Marilyn Wilkey.

Margery is survived by her spouse, Ray Ayers; children and spouses, Deborah and David Sheehan, Linda Burton, Donnie and Tammy Ayers. She enjoyed 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Chris Sheehan, Adam Peters, Jason Peters, and Cody Burton and great grandsons, Jordan Sheehan, Logan Cook, and Kaden Mancha.

Memorials may be made to Home Hospice or to the American Cancer Society.
