Margie Covey

Margie (Phelps) Covey, 80, of Odessa, passed away on January 30, 2017 in Odessa.

Margie was born in Durant, Oklahoma, to Doug and Willie Phelps on July 16, 1936. She grew up in Durant and graduated from Meade High School. She later married Bill Covey on February 2, 1955. Bill and Margie moved to Odessa in the early 60's, and raised 4 children.

Margie is preceded in death by both her parents, and all 5 of her brothers and sister.

She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Bill Covey, son, Jackie and Debbie Covey, daughters, Glenda and Mark Doverspike, Robin Covey, Donna and Steve Doverspike, grandkids Christy DeArmond, Jeanie and Kenneth Damron, Daniel and Chelsea Doverspike, Amy and Cody Mitchell, Betsy and Brady Boucher, Maggie Cortez, Tyler and Ashley Cortez, Chad and Crystal Doverspike, great grandkids Keegan and Gaby DeArmond, Dillon and Brianna DeArmond, Gracie DeArmond, Madison DeArmond, Katelyn Damron, Jase Doverspike, Jaylee Doverspike, Urijah Cortez, Kooper Boucher, and great great grandson Jagger DeArmond.

A memorial service will be at 1:00 pm, Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Craig DeArmond officiating.
