Marie Moyers Cooke was born in Delina, TN to Earl and Janie Moyers on January 20, 1921. She went to school at Boonshill High School in Tennessee. She and her family lived at the Shreiner Institute in Kerrville during the Great Depression. She worked in Detroit during World War II. She moved to Texas in the early 1940s where she met her husband, Charles. They moved to Odessa in 1957. She worked at the original Dunlaps where she loved selling to many, many people in the area. She and the ladies at Dunlaps formed unique bonds, and she loved being there. She would have worked there for many more years if she had been physically able. She was a long time member of Highland United Methodist Church.

She was our beloved mother, our friend, and the strongest woman we ever knew. She fought back and fought back until every ounce of her energy was depleted. She was a funloving and hilarious GRAN. We are blessed with so many memories of our times together.

She was BLESSED with four grandchildren who brought her much joy and laughter. She spent many hours sitting in the floor doing puzzles, playing cashier, and reading books. She loved spending time watching movies with them. As time passed, the grandchildren gave her even greater joy with 8 greatgrandchildren who loved crawling up into her lap to snuggle or read stories.

Marie Moyers Cooke was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edwin Cooke her daughter, Jennifer Lee Cooke her father, Earl Moyers her mother, Janie Moyers Stacy her brother, Earnest Moyers.

Marie Moyers Cooke is survived by her daughters, Mary Jane Wright husband, Beau, and Sandra Kay Barnes husband, Jim. She is also survived by granddaughter, Kristin Wells husband, Tim children, Kaiden, Brayden, Jaxton, Jude, Tytus, Autumn Wells granddaughter, Summer Wright granddaughter, Monique Bilyeu husband, Dustin children, Colton and Brody Bilyeu grandson, Tharren Barnes son, Kooper Barnes.
