M. Adele Stittsworth, 71, of Napa, California, passed away on January 2, 2010 in Kileen, Texas.
Adele was born on August 22, 1938 in Ely, Nevada, to William R. Neilson and Rosilie Jones Neilson.
Adele spent the first five years of her life in McGill, Nevada, and spent her childhood between California, Utah and Idaho. Her closest friendships were developed during her stays in Utah and California. She spent her adulthood in California raising her family, serving her church and teaching elementary school for thirty years. When her former students began teaching with her, she decided then it was time to retire. She spent her retirement traveling, visiting family, and being a friend to all those with whom she came into contact. Her departure from this life was sudden and unexpected.
Adele is survived by brother, Donald O. Neilson son, Randall Lyn Stittsworth daughterinlaw, Kristen A. Stittsworth daughter, Valerie Stittsworth daughter, Michelle Hobbs ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Adele was a beloved wife, mother, teacher and friend whose absence will leave an empty space in our hearts.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00AM Thursday, January 7, 2010 in the chapel at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Jimmy Braswell officiating. A family viewing will also be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM the Wednesday prior to services.
