Marilyn Voorhies

Marilyn J. Voorhies, 71 years young of Odessa passed away Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, TX.

Visitation will be held Monday, November 23, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Marilyn was born on August 11, 1944 in Delwein, IA to Paul and Lola Monnahan.

Marilyn married the love of her life and raised 4 children, 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

Preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Lola Monnahan, Sisters Erma Jean Graf, Margery Dierks, brothers Paul Duane Monnahan and Robert Michael Monnahan.

Marilyn is survived by her husband Terry Voorhies; daughter, Terri Bell and husband Michael of Midland, TX, Gina Guerra and husband Roger of Crane, TX, Denia Voorhies and Zax McCain of Midland, TX; son John Voorhies of Odessa, TX, one sister Donna Monnahan of Farmington, NM; 15 grandkids and 23 great-grandkids.
