Marion Ausmus Felter, 87, passed away peacefully and quietly on March 11, 2011 at 1:04 am at Hospice House Foundation in Odessa, TX.
She was born in Chicago, IL on October 19, 1923 to John Arvid Engstrom and Judith Alice Vingren. She was a loving, virtuous, and faithful matron of her large family. An accomplished pianist and musician, she served her God singularly and exclusively with her choice of music and style. Though her keyboard has become silenced by her passing and further deprived of her elegant touch, all who know her will carry the harmony of her ministry and life in their hearts throughout their lives.
Preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Donald and Hartley Engstrom, sister, Doris Engstrom Rogers.
Widow of George Ausmus, she is survived by their loving daughter, Linda Ausmus Davison and soninlaw Lloyd E. Davison, Jr. of Gardendale, TX and their five children and eleven grandchildren, their son and daughterinlaw, Wayne and Faye Ausmus of Marble Falls, TX and their eight children and seventeen grandchildren, and son, Larry Ausmus of Gardendale, TX and his two children and three grandchildren.
Widow of Gorden Felter, she is survived by their daughter and soninlaw, Sherry and Jim Pieschel of Boulder City, NV and their two children and two grandchildren, their daughter and soninlaw Linda and Don Baker of Colorado Springs, CO and their two children and four grandchildren, their daughter and soninlaw Debra and Larry Scott of Meadeview, AZ, and son and daughterinlaw Ric and Anne Felter of Germany and their one child and three grandchildren.
She leaves her godly legacy to those seven children, nineteen grandchildren and forty greatgrandchildren, five especially loved nephews and nieces, which she loved and regarded as her own immediate family.
We give honor to whom honor is due, and precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. Psalm 116:15
