Marivonne Brumbelow

Marivonne Jones Brumbelow of Odessa, Texas, passed away November 23, 2014 at the age of 88.

She was born to John and Alberta Jones on June 6, 1926 in Cresson, Texas. She graduated from the University of North Texas in 1947. Marivonne married Alvis Weldon Brumbelow on June 28, 1947 in Mexia, Texas. They moved to Odessa in 1948 where she taught elementary school for many years.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.

She is survived by daughters, Ann and husband Russell Griffin of Dallas, Martha Brumbelow of Amarillo, grandson John Lynn of Dallas, granddaughters Haley and Holley Lynn of Amarillo, niece Kathryn Steinle and husband Lynn of Yorktown, Virginia, nephews Weldon Taylor and wife Susan of Houston, Marlon Taylor and wife Janie Paleschic of Dallas.

Visitation will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens from 6:008:00pm, Monday November 24, 2014. A graveside service and burial will be at the Victor Cemetery in DeLeon, Texas, Tuesday at 2:00pm, November 25, 2014, with Jackie Auvenshine officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity or church of your choice.

The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to the nursing staff of the 8th and 9th floors at Medical Center Hospital, and to Luis Benavides, M.D. for his compassionate care of her and the family. Special thanks also go to the staff of Crossland Care, the staff of Home Hospice, to the faithful neighbors, Sharlot and Doug Sharrock, and especially to Eloisa Contreras, her caregiver for the past five years.
