Mark Friel

Mark Steven Friel, 59, of Odessa, TX passed away on November 30, 2018 in Odessa, TX.

Mark Friel was born in Fort Polk, LA to Chester and Misako Friel on December 22, 1958. He attended El Paso Andress High School in El Paso, TX. He married Julie Thurman in January 1986, first marriage ending in divorce. He was involved with Floyd Gwin Little League as a coach and volunteer for numerous years. He was also active as a baseball umpire for OYBA and USSSA in the West Texas area.

Mark Friel is preceded in death by his father Chester Friel and sister Jo Ann Friel.

Mark is survived by his sons, Marcus Friel and wife, Sara, of Odessa, TX; Julian Friel and wife, Kayla, of Odessa, TX; Taylor Friel and wife, Julie, of Odessa, TX; sister, Tina Vasquez, of Arlington, TX; mother, Misako "Mikki" Friel, of Kumamoto, Japan; grandchildren, Jason Friel, Keilee Friel, Bryce Friel, Emery Friel, Kayden Friel, Alayna Aguilar and Levi Ford; nieces, Christina Eudy and husband Jason of Midlothian, TX; Crystal Vasquez of Addison, TX, Caitlin Lee of Alamogordo, NM; great nephew, Austin Eudy and great niece, Kaylee Eudy.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, December 10, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
