Marshall Moore

Marshal Cameron Moore, age 29, of Odessa, Texas, passed away at his home on August 28, 2015 after battling a fatal illness.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, September 5, 2015 at St. John's Episcopal Church, 401 North County Road West, Odessa, Texas with Reverend Les Jackson officiating. Interment will follow immediately at St. Francis Columbarium of St. John's Episcopal Church. There will be a gathering of friends and family in the Angel Parish Hall immediately following the service.

Marshal was born August 28, 1986 to Janet and Michael Moore in Midland, Texas. He attended St. John's Episcopal School, Permian High School, and The Art Institute of Dallas. Among various private video production ventures, he also worked as an Associate Director of KMID-TV. Marshal was an avid reader, was keenly intelligent, and was a very creative thinker. He had a wonderful sense of humor and could quickly entice you to both reflect and to laugh. We will always remember the twinkle in his eye and his contagious grin. Many will remember how hard he tried to defeat the debilitating disease that eventually took his life. His struggle has inspired others to understand more about the illness.

Marshal is preceded in death by Grandmother Juda Ellen Earring, Grandmother Daphne Moore, Uncle Mark Moore, and Aunt Diane Holliday

Marshal is survived by sister Nicole Moore Newberry and her husband Brandon Newberry of Washington, Pennsylvania; mother Janet (Moore) Dodd-Baird and her husband Wesley Don Baird of Odessa, Texas; father Michael Moore and his wife Micki Moore of Odessa, Texas; Aunt Jodi Dodd Cole and Uncle Chris Cole of Houston, Texas; Uncles Pat and David Dodd of Odessa, Texas; Uncle and Aunt Bill and Jane Bynum of Austin; Uncle and Aunt Glynn and Toni Vanderburg of Kingsland Tax.: Cousins Emily and Camryn Cole of Houston, Texas; Grandparents Joe and Betty Dodd of Odessa, Texas; Grandfather Bill Moore of Kingsland, Texas; and Niece Laynee Newberry of Levelland, Texas.
